Features
When working with underwater robots or pool cleaning
devices, are you facing these challenges?
× Unstable performance in turbid water or reflective surfaces
× Strong ambient light interfering with distance measurement
× Limited accuracy affecting mapping and localization
× Size constraints limiting sensor integration
Reliable Underwater Sensing Starts Here
TF-UW500 is Benewake’s latest underwater single-point LiDAR,
designed based on dToF (direct Time-of-Flight) technology.
With a visible red laser and high-sensitivity detection system,
it delivers stable and precise distance measurement in
underwater environments. In low-turbidity water, TF-UW500
achieves a detection range of over 5 meters, with centimeter-level
accuracy and millimeter-level repeatability, enabling reliable
perception for underwater robotics.
Thanks to its eye-visible red laser with a narrow 0.5° divergence angle,
combined with an advanced SPAD ultra-high-sensitivity single-photon
detection chip, TF-UW500 performs just as reliably in air:
✔ Up to 14 m indoor range
✔ Accuracy within 3 cm
✔ Visible red laser spot for intuitive alignment (“what you see is what you measure”)
This makes it equally suitable for industrial automation and logistics applications.
Product Details
Featuring an eye-safe Class 1 visible laser, the TF-UW500 delivers a small laser
spot with excellent directionality and a wide incidence angle. Its design minimizes
multipath interference, offering clear performance advantages over
traditional ultrasonic sensors.
