EMRAX 268 HIGH VOLTAGE (up to 700 Vdc controller voltage) was tested in Letrika company, with their controller which can work up to 400 Vdc maximal. This controller is not powerfull enough to get maximum performances for EMRAX 268 High Voltage. We used this controller, because it was the only option for first tests. Anyway it can be used for this motor type, but all performances (power/torque) will not be the highest that you can get from this motor.
EMRAX 268 can deliver 500 Nm of peak torque. Graph below shows 400 Nm of maximum torque - this is because the opposite generator on test bench can be loaded maximal on 400 Nm. To get full motor power we need more powerfull controller, which can deliver higher phase current or higher voltage (controller, that we used for testing has max voltage 400 Vdc).
Cooling conditions at the time testing are described in the graph below. Water cooling flow at the time testing was not optimal (app 3,5 litres per minute) - differece between inlet and outlet water flow was too high. We recommend at least 7 litres per minute to get optimal temperature difference between inlet and outlet water flow.
We are very satisfied with efficiency, which is up to 98%.
To get the most power of EMRAX 268 High Voltage we recommend Unitek Bamocar D3 up to 700 Vdc controller (or other contollers up to 800 Vdc). For EMRAX 268 Medium Voltage we recommend Letrika controller up to 400 Vdc or Unitek Bamocar D3 controller up to 400 Vdc. This voltages are also listed in the Technical data table below.
Medium voltage EMRAX motors can run on high voltage applications to achieve higher rotation (according to Technical data tables). Higher rotation can be achieved also with magnetic field weakening - this is valid for all types of EMRAX motors. In this case the motor power is the same in all ranges of higher motor speed.
For EMRAX 268 Low Voltage and EMRAX 268 Medium Voltage graphs are simmilar to EMRAX 268 High Voltage. The difference is only in voltage and current. These two parameters can be read from the Technical data table for Low and Medium Voltage motor. Low Voltage motor needs approximatelly 4 times higher current and app. 4 times lower voltage for the same power/torque compared to EMRAX 268 High Voltage. Medium Voltage motor needs approximatelly 50% higher current and app. 1/3 lower voltage for the same power/torque compared to EMRAX 268 High Voltage.
